Take part in the Musequality World Busk on Saturday 13 June 2009 and help change young lives.
Musequality funds communal music projects for disadvantaged children in the developing world, giving them the skills and qualities they need to turn their lives around. The charity was founded by David Juritz, leader of the London Mozart Players, when he busked around the world in 2007. His busk was so successful that he decided to set up an annual fundraising event for musicians worldwide - the Musequality World Busk. The busk is taking place from Monday 8 - Sunday 14 June 2009 and is an opportunity for musicians of all ages and abilities, around the world, to go out and busk to raise money for Musequality. Find out more at www.worldbusk.org.
I am organising a day in Cambridge for musicians to take to the streets and busk for Musequality on Saturday 13 June. I am organising all the permits etc so all you have to do is turn up and get busking. Soloists and groups, of all abilities and genres are welcome to take part. If you want to get involved just send an email to laura@musequality.org. Several Cambridge University musicians are already taking part and it would be great if you could join them.
I look forward to hearing from you all.
