This year Queens' College Chapel Choir is recruiting singers in all voice
parts.
A taste of what Queens' Choir can offer you this year:
- FREE TOUR TO NEW YORK AND BOSTON, December 2008. Performances to include
Harvard Memorial Church, and many prestigious New York venues, including
Trinity Church Wall Street, and the Harvard Club NYC.
- FREE TOUR TO FRANCE, March 2009.
- Free singing lessons with a fantastic voice coach.
- Sing evensong cathedrals nation-wide.
- Queens' has been invited to sing a concert in Kings chapel, with CUMS
orchestra, and 5 other college choirs, singing Beethoven's Missa Solemnis.
- Frequent masterclasses with Ralph Allwood, Suzi Digby OBE (as seen on
BBC1'S recent series LAST CHOIR STANDING), Sir David Willcocks, and one of
the Tallis Scholars. Our Director of Music Madeleine Lovell (Deputy Chorus
Master for the BBC Symphony Chorus) is also a permanent source of
support and training.
- The chance to be one of 7 soloists on tour to sing the amazing Tallis
"Miserere Mei". Plus all successful candidates will sing a solo part in a
24-voice work by Josquin, also to be sung on tour.
- 2 evensongs per week, and free formal after each service. Plus
occasional college feasts.
