TENOR LAY CLERK
SEPTEMBER 2008
Salary £6500 per annum, plus fees for broadcasts, recordings, concerts etc subject to annual review.
A living out allowance of £1700 is also payable; alternatively single accommodation is available in a house shared with other Lay Clerks at a rent of £150 per month.
Eligibility for contribution to Pension Fund.
Insurance cover is provided for outside events approved by Dean and Chapter.
REGULAR DUTIES DURING CHOIR TERM
Monday to Friday Rehearsal 5.05pm
5.30 pm Evensong
(Except Wednesday which is free)
Monday: c 6.10 pm to 6.30 pm Rehearsal
No regular Saturday duties
Sunday 9.20 am Rehearsal
9.45 am Eucharist
11.30 am Mattins (except on 2nd Sunday of each month)
5.50 pm Rehearsal
6.30 pm Evensong
Duties also include scheduled special services and concerts, most of which attract an additional fee.
Choir Holidays approximately 13 weeks per year + up to 6 paid absences per term
