A volunteer to act as a runner for baritone Christopher Purves and pianist Andrew West is needed. Duties involve preparing a sandwich supper, making tea/coffee as requested, giving the 10 minute warning and bringing them downstairs for the concert, and assisting the Director of Kettle's Yard with concert management as required. You will hear the concert. The programme will be Schubert's Schwangengesang, Finzi - Let us Garlands Bring, and two song cycles by Richard Baker (one a new commission).

MUSIC TO BRIGHTEN UP PEOPLE'S LIVES

Every Wednesday evening, a hardy group of volunteers who don't take
themselves too seriously, visit a different residential home in the
Cambridge area and entertain with songs, music, poetry, magic and whatever
else anyone can do! The group is looking quite third year and grad heavy at
the moment, which is great, but we need some fresh blood to keep the
tradition going in years to come.

We call ourselves Betty Stubbens' Musical Entertainment Group (BSMEG), and
are a part of Student Community Action. We would love to have some new
muscially minded people to join us. If you are interested, get in touch
with Matt (mde28).
