20th century music for Wind Quintet by Hungarian composers is framed by two of the outstanding works for Piano Trio from the Romantic period – Mendelssohn’s bravura Trio in D minor, and Dvorak’s ever-popular and most ‘folky’ chamber work. 2010 is the 50th anniversary of the untimely death of Matyas Seiber and the composer’s daughter, Julia Seiber Boyd, Chair of the Cambridge-Szeged Society, will be in attendance.
